Update 11/11/24: We’re off to a great start with soundbars this year. All of the deals selected today come directly from our best soundbars listing, with only the *good* deals left in — no small 5% or so deals that are meant to increase eyes on the product by making it to a site’s deals page. These are good soundbars, all reviewed by staff, with high-percentage deals.

Black Friday is coming up on November 29, but you can start shopping now. The classic way to do this is to upgrade your TV with one of the best early Black Friday TV deals, get enthralled with your TV’s looks, and then realize your sound system doesn’t have power to match your new view. And then, of course, you need a soundbar. The following soundbar deals are selected for being a high-quality product and having comparatively good pricing. If you want to wall mount your soundbar (or TV) also be sure to check out early Black Friday power tool deals for tools that will help you get the job done quickly.

This soundbar is considered great for music and gaming, in case your setup isn’t a TV and movies exclusive zone. Our 2021 Sony HT-A5000 review mentioned how future-proof it is with 8K, Dolby Vision, and 4K at 120Hz, further stating “it could be 10 years or more before you even need to think about upgrading. And even then, it will be a choice, not a requirement.”

Without a doubt, this is a high-end system and perhaps a stretch goal for enthusiasts, but at $1,000 off maybe now is the time to make the reach? It’s an “over-the-top home theater-in-a-box” as described by our Nakamichi Dragon review, and certainly a luxury good. How to choose a soundbar on Black Friday

The products above made heavy reference to our recently-updated best soundbars list, and it’s a great place to start looking for yourself as well. But that doesn’t mean that every soundbar will be good for you.

For a more comprehensive look, check out our guide to choosing a soundbar, but here are the basics: Longer soundbars have more drivers, giving a more complex sound, but you probably don’t want something more massive than your TV. A subwoofer can help complete your sound, especially if the bass aspect of your soundbar isn’t deep enough — and the good news is that there are many soundbars with subwoofers, including in the list above. You’ll also want to consider factors like connections and mounting capabilities, making sure they align with your goals, current equipment, and visions for your future equipment.

How we chose these Black Friday soundbar deals

This category was incredibly easy to find deals for, at least initially, because many of the best soundbars that we’ve already decided upon (without accounting for deal prices) were on sale. We parsed through a few deals that were minimal (just a few percentage points off of MSRP or a few dollars down) and made sure to give you a wide variety of prices and brands to choose from. There’s also been an attempt to get straight up bars, and bars with subwoofers. After this, from the very get go of Black Friday we’ve been able to give you a sort of assembly package of great soundbar offers.

You’ll also notice that most of the best deals have been personally reviewed by a staff member. When we have a fully writeup, we’ve linked to it so you can see both the finer points of the bar as well as its shortcomings so you can make an informed purchase.
